Rock Steady Boxing Lebanon is changing to Rock Steady Boxing Synapse Fitness!
After having closed our doors in March of 2020 due to the pandemic, we are happy to finally announce our reopening for August 4th, 2021. Here are the details:
New location: We are moving our program from Lebanon to the Mid-Willamette Family YMCA in Albany. At the Y, they are in the process of a large campus expansion, one of which includes building a new boxing facility. We are very excited for Synapse Fitness Foundation and the YMCA to collaborate on providing you the very best Rock Steady experience.
New coaches: We are bringing on 3 new wonderful coaches that are excited to work with you. Our team of coaches will be engaging in ongoing training and collaboration for providing you high quality workouts.
New schedule: In August, classes will be Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:30-1:00 for people requiring more assistance, and from 1:30-3:00 for those needing less assistance. In September, we will add Monday class times so that classes will be offered 3 days per week for everyone— Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
New assessments: Before returning back to class everyone will be required to complete a new assessment with physical therapist Kelly Becker, DPT. After that, individual assessments will be offered every 6 months to check in on your specific needs related to Parkinson’s.
New safety precautions: After serious consideration by our board of directors and receiving legal counsel, we have decided to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination for participation in class. This will hold for all participants, care partners, corner people, volunteers, and employees. Our goal is to provide the safest workout environment for everyone involved. If you are someone who is unable to get vaccinated due to a serious medical condition or a sincerely held religious belief, you will still be able to participate with signing an exemption waiver. The mask policy is still TBD for the time of class opening.
New cost: We are currently working out what the new cost for class will be. As always, we will not be turning anyone away with financial need. We will be fundraising throughout the year to provide scholarships for those that are unable to afford the full cost of class.
If you are interested in returning to class, or becoming a new member, please contact us to learn more and setup an assessment.
