BGF: Working with Parkinson’s- Expert Q&A

Join the Brian Grant Foundation for their expert Q&A the second Tuesday of the month.

This sessions topic: In today’s world, the challenge of acquiring a new job when one has Parkinson’s disease is a new concern for many. In this Expert Q&A, Pam Capraro and Jessica Huerta, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, will talk about employment challenges for people with Parkinson’s. They will discuss disclosing your diagnosis, requesting support or accommodations from your employer, and what those strategies might look for people with Parkinson’s. They will also talk about how a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor could help you navigate work changes, and they’ll introduce a new virtual support group that they have recently developed.
